Blood on the Clocktower (BotC) is a social deduction game set in a gothic Victorian village. Players are secretly assigned roles - good townsfolk, or villainous demons and minions - and must work together (or against each other) to uncover the truth before the demon destroys the town. Unlike many social deduction games, dead players remain active participants, and a Storyteller provides personalized information to each player every night.
Not at all! We'll have games running for all skill levels, including beginner-friendly sessions designed specifically for new players. Our Storytellers are experienced at walking new players through the rules. If you've never played before, Starpass Summit is a wonderful place to start your BotC journey.
There is no age minimum, but children under the age of 16 must have parental supervision.
Starpass Summit is committed to being a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for all attendees. We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior of any kind - both in-game and out. All attendees are expected to treat others with respect. The full Code of Conduct is available on its own page.
All badge sales are final - no refunds. If you can't attend, you may transfer your badge to someone else. See Terms & Conditions for details.
You can transfer your badge on the cardboard website, or by reaching out to a discord admin (Demons).

There will be large numbers of both scheduled games in specific time slots throughout the day and pick-up games that form spontaneously throughout the day and night. Each game is run by a Storyteller who guides players through the experience. Games accommodate between 5 and 20 players and typically last 1–3 hours depending on player count and script complexity.
Once you've registered for the convention, you'll receive access to the session sign-up system closer to the event date. Sessions are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Keep an eye on the Updates page for announcements about when sign-ups open. For pick-up games, just show up and look for a game that's forming, or ask our on-site volunteers to help you find a game.

Photography is welcome in common areas of the convention. However, please always ask for consent before photographing individual attendees. Some game rooms may be designated photography-free zones to preserve immersion. Look for signage at the door and respect players' wishes.

If you experience or witness harassment or a safety issue, please report it to a staff member immediately - we will respond promptly. We also have a designated quiet space available for anyone who needs a break from the activity.
