Starpass Summit takes place at the iconic Hilton San Francisco Union Square, located in the heart of Union Square. The hotel sits at the center of San Francisco's iconic shopping and dining district, just steps from cable cars, BART, world-class restaurants, and everything downtown has to offer.

Convention activities will take place across dedicated game rooms, panel spaces, and common areas within the hotel. Maps and room assignments will be available in the convention brochure and at registration.

Hotel Room Block

We've reserved a block of rooms at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square at a discounted group rate for Starpass Summit attendees. Staying at the convention hotel means you're never far from the action - games run late, and being on-site makes it easy to jump in and out.

  • Room block will open to Star Pass holders on 9/12/26.
  • Room block will open to Regular Pass holders on 9/19/26.
  • Group rate: $210 per night (this includes all taxes and fees).
  • Rooms available for March 4–8 (pre/post nights available).
  • Thursday March 4 will not have the group rate due to GDC being in town.

Transportation

The Hilton San Francisco Union Square is one of the most accessible venues in the city, served by multiple transit options from all three Bay Area airports.

  • BART: Powell Street Station is a 4-minute walk. Direct service from SFO (~30 min) and OAK (~40 min via Coliseum transfer).
  • From SFO: BART to Powell Street - ~$10, ~25 min.
  • From OAK: BART to Powell Street - ~$5, ~35 min.
  • From SJC: Caltrain to SF, then BART or Muni - ~60–90 min.
  • Rideshare: Uber/Lyft drop-off at hotel entrance on O'Farrell St.
  • Cable Cars: Powell-Hyde and Powell-Mason lines stop one block from the hotel.

Parking

The Union Square area has several parking options. We strongly recommend using public transit if possible - parking downtown San Francisco can be expensive and limited on weekends.

  • Ellis-O'Farrell Garage: Half a block from the hotel
  • Union Square Garage: 3-minute walk, competitive rates
  • Street parking: Limited; meters apply 9am–6pm on weekdays; free Sundays

We are committed to making Starpass Summit accessible and welcoming to everyone, including attendees using wheelchairs, canes, crutches, walkers, or other mobility aids. The Hilton San Francisco Union Square is a fully accessible venue with elevator access to all convention floors, ADA-compliant restrooms throughout the hotel, and wheelchair-accessible seating reserved in every game room. We've planned convention programming with accessibility in mind, and a designated quiet room will be available throughout the weekend.
